A good lesson:
Aidan Kirby was one of several Seton Catholic players who showcased strong play throughout Saturday’s game.

But like all the Cougars, he was disappointed with the outcome. He also knows the team will learn from this.

“We have to keep our heads in the present and not in the past,” Kirby said. “We were too focused on our win last week and not this week.”

Coaching staff’s pick for MVP on offense: Jonathan Stell with more than 100 yards rushing. “Ran hard and gave a good effort. He kept us in the game,” according to coach Will Ephraim.

Coaching staff’s pick for MVP on defense: Delano Morgan. Led the team in tackles. Also had an interception that was called back. “Played his heart out,” Ephraim said.

Thoughts on Week 3 vs. Nestucca: “Once again, undersized, but believe we have the speed advantages,” Ephraim said. “Nestucca will cause some problems up front.”
